I know it’s been forever. Without further adieu, music videos of the week.
This one will get you moving. It can’t not.
Pure pop brattiness
I’ve devised a new nerd workout… I know… I PROMISE I’ll post next week.
Girl power new music tuesday today
fun poppy, really peppy, great video
sexy, big voiced soulful
this song is just too beautiful and gorgeous and moving not to include. a member of an insanely talented family.
Some good ones today… this first one is a good steady run song or a calm down song. Aaron and I might go see him Friday, depending.
His new album is on NPR First Listen too, check it out.
This one is almost too obvious that I would like:
She’s gorgeous, the song is gorgeous, nuff said.
More than I would normally post, but there again, I’ve been gone for a month. And how could I NOT post this song. It’s probably the best workout song I’m posting today.
Also rock that Janelle Monae look Flo!!
And just because well why not, another Calvin Harris… I mean he makes insanely great workout songs – the video basically says as much
Good, steady, nerdy video, good for runs.
Somethin a little different, some folksy calming down music. Beautiful.
I just can’t not post this song. I think it’s a good workout song, yes, but it is so good and so sexy. Don’t look back.
Oh the build oh the build. That’s the Muse I know and love. Yes. This is worth it to just keep on listening to the end, like any really amazing Muse song.
Pure frothy poppy fun
I promise I have a workout for you today, though not the one I intended. Apparently I had such a backlog that I didn’t take photos of the right one. Whoooops.
Anyway, here quickly for you are three awesome songs to do whatever you want to.
Weird, beautiful, and energizing. You can feel the anticipation build as the layers come in and the song starts to really groove. Great running song for this reason.
if you hate the 80s, well, you might not like this, but if you don’t mind it and you want something interesting and poppy to dance, jump, run to, well this will do it for you. Add in some extra emoting if you like that stuff (I really really do).
Subtle, gorgeous, simple. I love complex songs, but sometimes it’s amazing to hear the songs where you can hear each piece of it really clearly.
Meditate to this song. Stretch to this song. Paint to this song.
New Bloc Party. One my longtime favorites. Beautiful, with enough momentum to keep you going. For me, this is a good running song, the kind that makes you want to soar.
Pure dance. This song is not for the faint of heart.
A remix of the recently released and amazing Frank Ocean album. It’s slow at first, but it builds and could be a great mid-run song, for me anyway. I love that it doesn’t downplay Frank Ocean’s voice.
I know it’s been a long time but I got a good line up of songs for you today!
Super fun song:
Dreamy but peppy:
I know I’m late again.
Some more new fun music. So this is a more mainstream focusing song than maybe their others, but gotta admit it’s fun. And you know I’m obsessed with The Very Best and it’s my duty to inform you of all their goings on. It’s certainly a good workout/dance song!
New Dragonette, usually a good time too:
And a new band from Australia. This one is a bit softer
Well Summer starts tomorrow, and if this isn’t a summer song, then I don’t know what it is.
Poolside – Slow Down
This is produced/DJed by Mark Ronson, who has amazing taste (and I have on good authority – UNA! – that he is a nice person in real life). It’s also the Olympic theme so, I mean. How can this not be on a workout mix? He uses samples of boxers hits, the heartbeat of a runner, and a few other sounds from athletes. How effing cool is that.
Fun blockbuster of a song ripped from Radio 1. That is one reason I wish I had satellite radio. Know how my sci-fi tastes lean towards British? Basically everything I’m into leans towards British. Also, another summer song. This post has a theme!
This song starts off retro and pretty and cute and irresistible. Not sure about this band in total, but this song is totally a fun summer song. The guitars and general sound remind me of bands I was into in early to mid-college. Little nostalgia.
Frank Ocean. Long song, good variety.
Fun and dancey Little Boots:
And a Flo remix
